For the last fifteen years I have created unique art quilts. Some are landscapes, some are not, but all are related to nature in some respect. Having grown up with horses most of my life, I spent many wonderful hours quietly exploring forests and meadows on horseback, and always returned full of inspiration. Even just a short walk along the nature trails near our home will plant seeds for new design ideas.

Below are an assortment of quilts I designed, assembled and quilted by hand or machine. If you are interested in buying one of the quilts that are for sale, please click on the quilt picture and the link will take you to my Etsy site where quilts may be purchased. Graduation 2007
Not for Sale

Size: 53" wide x 64" tall

This quilt was designed as a high school graduation gift for my daughter. She loves wolves, horses, cats, the colour blue and has always had the nickname butterfly. Her third Christmas, she asked for the moon. As if by her request, a full moon rose over the mountain in the winter darkness of Christmas morning shining on her little face as she watched it through our living room window. Special traits of her personality are written around the edge of the quilt. The quilt was finished in May 2008.

Spring’s Sweet Sound
Not for Sale

Size: 55" square

This quilt was designed as a high school graduation gift for my son. He is a musician and has an avid interest in composing and singing classical music. For his graduation quilt, he asked for something that would remind him of the first green of spring. The willow bloom in the center is designed on the computer and is composed of hand-dyed fabrics. The inner border represents the reflection of leaves in the wind with blue sky peering through. The music in the outer border is a complex line from “Appalachian Spring” a thirteen instrument ballet written by Aaron Copland in 1943. The musical notes are hand-painted. This quilt was finished in December 2009.
